Code § 3123.23","heading":"Collection of arrearages from collateral sources.","body":"(A) The director of job and family services shall adopt rules under Chapter 119. of the Revised Code to implement a program to collect arrearages owed under child support orders from insurance claims, settlements, awards, and payments based on information obtained pursuant to Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. 652.\n(B) Any insurer and any director, agent, or employee authorized to act on behalf of an insurer, that releases information or makes a disclosure in accordance with rules adopted pursuant to this section shall be immune from liability in a civil action for harm resulting from the disclosure.\n(C) As used in this section, \"insurer\" has the same meaning as in section 3901.32 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 31 Domestic Relations-Children","Chapter 3123 Defaults Under Child Support Orders"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3123.23","current_through":"2007-09-29 (House Bill 119 - 127th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:32Z","sha256":"8cc8b0965a11479f7922329471d9e5344d73eb818e16add4f5c82d20b68d44b2","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3123.22","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3123.24"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
