Code § 317.05","heading":"Deputies.","body":"The county recorder may appoint deputies to aid in the performance of the county recorder's duties. Such an appointment or removal shall be in writing and filed with the county treasurer. The county recorder and the recorder's sureties shall be responsible for the deputies' neglect of duty or misconduct in office.
