Code § 3332.02","heading":"Exceptions to chapter.","body":"This chapter does not apply to the following categories of courses, schools, or colleges:\n(A) Tuition-free courses or schools conducted by employers exclusively for their own employees;\n(B) Nonprofit institutions with certificates of authorization issued pursuant to section 1713.02 of the Revised Code or that are nonprofit institutions exempted from the requirement to obtain a certificate by division (E) of that section;\n(C) Schools, colleges, technical colleges, or universities established by law or chartered by the chancellor of higher education;\n(D) Courses of instruction required by law to be approved or licensed by a state board or agency other than the state board of career colleges and schools, except that a school so approved or licensed may apply to the state board of career colleges and schools for a certificate of registration to be issued in accordance with this chapter;\n(E) Schools for which minimum standards are prescribed by the director of education and workforce pursuant to division (D) of section 3301.07 of the Revised Code;\n(F) Courses of instruction conducted by a public school district or a combination of public school districts;\n(G) Courses of instruction conducted outside the United States;\n(H) Private institutions exempt from regulation under this chapter as prescribed in section 3333.046 of the Revised Code;\n(I) Training courses for employees paid for by their employers and conducted by outside service providers.","path":["Title 33 Education-Libraries","Chapter 3332 Career Colleges and Schools"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3332.02","current_through":"2023-10-03 (House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:33Z","sha256":"8f8e55f53ab08763e60414b2e25461855aa9b33e7f525d44cfc717c0f478e55e","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3332.01","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3332.03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
