Code § 3376.02","heading":"Institutional prohibitions regarding student-athlete use of name, image, or likeness.","body":"(A) No state institution of higher education or private college shall uphold any rule, requirement, standard, or other limitation that prevents a student-athlete of that institution or college from fully participating in intercollegiate athletics because the student-athlete does either of the following:\n(1) Earns compensation as a result of the use of the student-athlete's name, image, or likeness or any other compensation related to the student-athlete's position on the roster of an intercollegiate athletics team;\n(2) Obtains professional representation from an athlete agent or attorney.\n(B) Earning compensation from the use of a student-athlete's name, image, or likeness, or obtaining professional representation from an athlete agent or attorney, shall not affect the student-athlete's scholarship eligibility or renewal.","path":["Title 33 Education-Libraries","Chapter 3376 Collegiate Student Athletes"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3376.02","current_through":"2025-04-03 (House Bill 315 - 135th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:33Z","sha256":"12c6dae9092289046a8899b42c7c77c820d7cd5f8d878e0b6090b56b29f121c4","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3376.01","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3376.03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
