Code § 3701.135","heading":"Autism diagnosis education pilot program.","body":"(A) The autism diagnosis education pilot program is hereby established in the department of health. The program shall have the following goals:\n(1) To educate health care professionals, teachers and other educational personnel, child care providers, parents, early intervention and developmental disabilities providers, and other community-based services providers in this state regarding the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders, including the range of symptoms that may indicate autism spectrum disorders and screening tools;\n(2) To promote appropriate standards for the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders in children, including screening tools and treatment planning for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders;\n(3) To encourage physicians and other health care professionals with expertise in screening, diagnosing, and treating autism spectrum disorders to share that information with other health care professionals in this state;\n(4) To encourage the regional coordination of services to facilitate the effective, timely treatment of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.\n(B) The director of health shall contract with a statewide association representing pediatric physicians to conduct or administer the autism diagnosis education pilot program.","path":["Title 37 Health-Safety-Morals","Chapter 3701 Department of Health"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3701.135","current_through":"2007-06-30 (House Bill 119 - 127th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:34Z","sha256":"fb8a142e80c693d00a29a3a1dc21e4d1907059a6d509e5a6ff7023879f836d0d","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3701.134","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3701.136"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
