Code § 3707.72","heading":"Board members.","body":"(A)(1) If a board of health establishes a fetal-infant mortality review board under section 3707.71 of the Revised Code, the board, by a majority vote of a quorum of its members, shall select the board's members. Members may include the following professionals or individuals representing the following constituencies:\n(a) Fetal-infant mortality review coordinators;\n(b) Physicians who are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by a certifying board recognized by the American board of medical specialties;\n(c) Key community leaders from the board of health's jurisdiction;\n(d) Health care providers;\n(e) Human services providers;\n(f) Consumer and advocacy groups;\n(g) Community action teams;\n(h) Certified nurse-midwives.\n(2) A majority of the board members specified in division (A)(1) of this section may invite additional individuals to serve on the board. The additional members shall serve for a period of time determined by a majority of the board members specified in division (A)(1) of this section and shall have the same authority, duties, and responsibilities as members specified in that division.\n(3) A board, by a majority vote of a quorum of its members, shall select an individual to serve as its chairperson.\n(B) A vacancy on a board shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.\n(C) A board member shall not receive any compensation for, and shall not be paid for any expenses incurred pursuant to, fulfilling the member's duties on the board.\n(D) A board may work in conjunction with, or be a component of, a child fatality review board or regional child fatality review board created under section 307.621 of the Revised Code.\n(E) A board shall convene at least once a year at the call of the board's chairperson.","path":["Title 37 Health-Safety-Morals","Chapter 3707 Board of Health"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3707.72","current_through":"2025-03-20 (Senate Bill 196 - 135th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:34Z","sha256":"fb24b0418915a1985fd817744f6404a56e45d35d60d2d517877749c5bf7141fc","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3707.71","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3707.73"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
