Code § 3734.914","heading":"Required signage.","body":"(A) A retailer that displays for sale and sells lead-acid batteries in the state shall post a sign that shall be at least eight and one-half inches by eleven inches in size, use lettering that is at least thirty point font in size, display the universal recycling symbol, and contain all of the following language:\n(1) \"It is illegal to discard a used lead-acid battery.\"\n(2) \"Recycle your used batteries.\"\n(3) \"State law requires us to accept used lead-acid batteries for recycling in exchange for new batteries purchased.\"\n(B) This section does not apply to a motor vehicle dealer that is licensed under Chapter 4517. of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 37 Health-Safety-Morals","Chapter 3734 Solid and Hazardous Wastes"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3734.914","current_through":"2008-04-25 (House Bill 169 - 127th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:34Z","sha256":"722cc83c995a9497cb7d41014a756084fb6deabc34ca2b71bd52272c9e48aef3","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3734.913","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3734.915"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
