Code § 3921.101","heading":"Maintenance and amount of surplus.","body":"(A)(1) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(1) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of greater than ten thousand dollars shall have and maintain a surplus of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(2) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(1) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of ten thousand dollars or less shall have and maintain a surplus of five hundred thousand dollars.\n(B)(1) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(2) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of greater than ten thousand dollars shall have and maintain a surplus of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(2) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(2) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of ten thousand dollars or less shall have and maintain a surplus of five hundred thousand dollars.\n(C)(1) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(3) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of greater than ten thousand dollars shall have and maintain a surplus in the aggregate of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(2) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(3) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state in a benefit amount of ten thousand dollars or less shall have and maintain a surplus of five hundred thousand dollars.\n(D) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(4) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state shall have and maintain a surplus of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(E) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(5) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state shall have and maintain a surplus of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(F) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(6) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state shall have and maintain a surplus of five hundred thousand dollars.\n(G) On and after January 1, 2016, a fraternal benefit society that provides the contractual benefits listed in division (A)(7) of section 3921.16 of the Revised Code in this state shall have and maintain a surplus of two million five hundred thousand dollars for all lines written.\n(H) The surplus requirements of this section are not cumulative.
