Code § 4171.01","heading":"Roller skating rink definitions.","body":"As used in Chapter 4171. of the Revised Code:\n(A) \"Operator\" means a person that owns, manages, controls, directs, or has operational responsibility for a roller skating rink.\n(B) \"Roller skater\" means a person wearing roller skates while in a roller skating rink for the purpose of recreational or competitive roller skating. \"Roller skater\" includes any person entering a roller skating rink as an invitee, whether or not the person pays consideration to enter.\n(C) \"Roller skating rink\" means a building, facility, or premises that provides an area specifically designed to be used by the public for recreational or competitive roller skating.\n(D) \"Spectator\" means a person who is present in a roller skating rink only for the purpose of observing recreational or competitive roller skating.","path":["Title 41 Labor and Industry","Chapter 4171 Roller Skating Rinks"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4171.01","current_through":"1993-04-01 (Senate Bill 347 - 119th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:36Z","sha256":"164211ccfb2c068291841f3a97c9fc1bd82e6c9a718e18f114a5220cc980c3d1","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4169.99","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4171.05"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
