Code § 4301.246","heading":"Gifts of glassware.","body":"(A) As used in this section:\n(1) \"Case\" means twenty-four individual pieces of glassware.\n(2) \"Glassware\" means a glass container to which all of the following apply:\n(a) It has the brand name of a beer or the name of the manufacturer or supplier of the beer permanently affixed, embossed, or engraved on the container;\n(b) It has the brand name of the beer or the name of the manufacturer or supplier of the beer prominently displayed on the container;\n(c) It holds not more than twenty-four ounces of liquid.\n(3) \"Receipt\" means a record, either in paper or digital format, that contains all of the following information:\n(a) The name and address of the permit holder authorized to sell beer for on-premises consumption that receives glassware from a manufacturer or supplier;\n(b) The name and address of the manufacturer or supplier that provides glassware to the permit holder;\n(c) The name of the employee or agent of the permit holder that receives the glassware;\n(d) The date that the glassware is provided to the permit holder;\n(e) The amount, if any, that the manufacturer or supplier charged the permit holder for the glassware;\n(f) The permit holder's permit number;\n(g) A description and the amount of glassware provided to the permit holder;\n(h) The amount that the manufacturer or supplier paid to have the glassware manufactured.\n(B) Notwithstanding section 4301.24 of the Revised Code, a manufacturer or supplier may provide glassware intended for the serving of beer to a permit holder authorized to sell beer for on-premises consumption if the manufacturer or supplier provides a receipt to the permit holder. However, the manufacturer or supplier shall not annually provide more than four cases of such glassware to the permit holder.\n(C) A permit holder authorized to sell for on-premises consumption may receive glassware intended for the serving of beer from a manufacturer or supplier.","path":["Title 43 Liquor","Chapter 4301 Liquor Control Law"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4301.246","current_through":"2021-04-12 (House Bill 674 - 133rd General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:36Z","sha256":"5e85c8dfb02362c1f4d166b80dcee9ca110f29386d7938fb2fda3358afdbde75","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4301.245","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4301.25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
