Code § 4301.71","heading":"Sale of powdered or crystalline alcohol.","body":"(A) No person shall sell or offer for sale powdered or crystalline alcohol for human consumption.\n(B) Division (A) of this section does not apply to any of the following:\n(1) Any substance regulated by the food and drug administration in the United States department of health and human services that is not either of the following:\n(a) Beer or intoxicating liquor; or\n(b) A compound that could be converted into beer or intoxicating liquor.\n(2) A medication that requires a prescription;\n(3) An over-the-counter medication.\n(C) As used in this section:\n(1) \"Powdered or crystalline alcohol\" means a product that is manufactured into a powdered or crystalline form and that contains any amount of alcohol.\n(2) \"Prescription\" has the same meaning as in section 4729.01 of the Revised Code.\n(3) \"Over-the-counter medication\" means medication that may be legally sold and purchased without a prescription.","path":["Title 43 Liquor","Chapter 4301 Liquor Control Law"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4301.71","current_through":"2015-09-24 (Senate Bill 7 - 131st General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:36Z","sha256":"02bf8338faffa18ff4362f408d8423d2ed8a842b3e74ee4c4671d2bde735a8e2","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4301.70","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4301.72"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
