Code § 4511.0912","heading":"Speeding tickets.","body":"A local authority shall not issue a ticket for a violation of section 4511.21 or 4511.211 of the Revised Code or a substantially equivalent municipal ordinance due to failure to observe the applicable speed limit based upon evidence recorded by a traffic law photo-monitoring device unless one of the following applies:\n(A) For a system location that is located within a school zone or within the boundaries of a state or local park or recreation area, the vehicle involved in the violation is traveling at a speed that exceeds the posted speed limit by not less than six miles per hour.\n(B) For a system location that is located at any other location, the vehicle involved in the violation is traveling at a speed that exceeds the posted speed limit by not less than ten miles per hour.","path":["Title 45 Motor Vehicles-Aeronautics-Watercraft","Chapter 4511 Traffic Laws - Operation Of Motor Vehicles"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4511.0912","current_through":"2015-03-23 (Senate Bill 342 - 130th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:37Z","sha256":"e33a8152451dac07942f749f4e4df81d26a58db81e3c3d2cb540fd6e97f8e6c3","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4511.0911","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4511.0913"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
