Code § 4729.90","heading":"Applicants for registration as registered pharmacy technician.","body":"(A)(1) An applicant for registration as a registered pharmacy technician shall:\n(a) Be at least eighteen years of age;\n(b) Possess a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence or have been employed continuously since prior to April 8, 2009, as a pharmacy technician without a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalence;\n(c) Comply with sections 4776.01 to 4776.04 of the Revised Code;\n(d) Have successfully completed education and training that meets the requirements established by the board in rules adopted under section 4729.94 of the Revised Code.\n(2) An applicant for registration as a certified pharmacy technician shall:\n(a) Comply with divisions (A)(1)(a) and (c) of this section;\n(b) Possess a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence;\n(c) Have successfully completed education and training that meets the requirements established by the board in rules adopted under section 4729.94 of the Revised Code;\n(d) Have a current pharmacy technician certification from an organization that has been recognized by the board.\n(B) A pharmacist or pharmacy intern whose license has been denied, revoked, suspended, or otherwise restricted by the board shall not be registered as a registered pharmacy technician or certified pharmacy technician.","path":["Title 47 Occupations-Professions","Chapter 4729 Pharmacists; Dangerous Drugs"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4729.90","current_through":"2021-10-09 (House Bill 263 - 133rd General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:37Z","sha256":"e1d2cb692cb387500be52e30b748052b19d31d47486b8acb35a983b1a32ed374","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4729.89","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4729.901"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
