Code § 4731.56","heading":"Issuing license to practice podiatric medicine.","body":"(A) The state medical board shall review all applications received under section 4731.52 of the Revised Code. The board shall determine whether an applicant meets the requirements for a license to practice podiatric medicine and surgery.\n(B) If the board determines that the applicant meets the requirements for a license and that the documentation provided is satisfactory to the board, the board shall issue to the applicant a license to practice podiatric medicine and surgery. Each license shall be signed by the president and secretary of the board and attested by its seal.\n(C) A person who holds a license to practice podiatric medicine and surgery issued under this section may use the title \"Dr.,\" \"doctor,\" \"D.P.M.,\" \"physician,\" or \"surgeon.\"\n(D) The holder of a license issued under this section shall either provide verification of licensure status from the board's internet web site on request or prominently display a wall certificate in the license holder's office or the place where a major portion of the license holder's practice is conducted.","path":["Title 47 Occupations-Professions","Chapter 4731 Physicians; Limited Practitioners"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4731.56","current_through":"2019-10-17 (House Bill 166 - 133rd General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:37Z","sha256":"1ccdbc1ecce5fb6a9761ab97f6367d374b86943b842ca9f3d1b276023bef35b7","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4731.531","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4731.572"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
