Code § 4734.283","heading":"Issuance of acupuncture certificate.","body":"If the state chiropractic board determines under section 4734.282 of the Revised Code that an applicant meets the requirements for a certificate to practice acupuncture, the executive director of the board shall issue to the applicant a certificate to practice acupuncture.\nA certificate to practice acupuncture expires biennially in accordance with a schedule the board shall establish. The certificate may be renewed in accordance with section 4734.284 of the Revised Code.\nNotwithstanding the requirements for a certificate under this chapter, the executive director shall issue a certificate to practice acupuncture in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code to a chiropractor who holds a license or certificate to practice acupuncture in another state or has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as an acupuncturist in a state that does not issue that license or certificate.","path":["Title 47 Occupations-Professions","Chapter 4734 Chiropractors"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4734.283","current_through":"2023-12-29 (Senate Bill 131 - 134th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:38Z","sha256":"a70d2a34c4670e2a8f1eb1d9a9dd4e7d674d4e08977cc9f4dbe6b4e45b9aad00","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4734.282","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4734.284"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
