Code § 4907.03","heading":"Regulation of service.","body":"Regulation of service applicable to railroads shall include:\n(A) The transportation of passengers and property between points within this state;\n(B) The receiving, switching, delivering, storing, and handling of such property;\n(C) All charges connected with divisions (A) and (B) of this section, including icing charges and mileage charges;\n(D) All railroad companies, sleeping car companies, equipment companies, express companies, car companies, freight and freight-line companies, and all associations of persons, whether incorporated or otherwise, which do business as common carriers, upon or over a line of railroad within this state;\n(E) A common carrier engaged in the transportation of passengers or property wholly by rail, partly by rail and partly by water, or wholly by water;\n(F) The regulation of all other duties, services, practices, and charges of the railroad company, incident to the shipping and receiving of freight, which are proper subjects of regulation.\nSuch regulation shall not include or apply to the regulation of commerce with foreign nations, commerce among the several states, and commerce with the Indian tribes.","path":["Title 49 Public Utilities","Chapter 4907 Public Utilities Commission - Railroad Powers"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4907.03","current_through":"1953-10-01 (Senate Bill 361 - 100th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:38Z","sha256":"c5f5dc14b923d3e2b88f297dc3bb4c15520fa831dd8b5d38b1eb1d78fe746d88","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4907.02","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-4907.04"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
