Code § 5119.29","heading":"Tracking and monitoring after release of persons found not guilty by reason of insanity or persons found incompetent to stand trial.","body":"The department of behavioral health, in conjunction with boards of alcohol, drug addiction, and mental health services and community mental health boards, shall develop a coordinated system for tracking and monitoring persons found not guilty by reason of insanity and committed pursuant to section 2945.40 of the Revised Code who have been granted a conditional release and persons found incompetent to stand trial and committed pursuant to section 2945.39 of the Revised Code who have been granted a conditional release. The system shall do all of the following:\n(A) Centralize responsibility for the tracking of those persons;\n(B) Develop uniformity in monitoring those persons;\n(C) Develop a mechanism to allow prompt rehospitalization, reinstitutionalization, or detention when a violation of the conditional release or decompensation occurs.","path":["Title 51 Public Welfare","Chapter 5119 Department of Behavioral Health"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-5119.29","current_through":"2025-09-30 (House Bill 96 - 136th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:39Z","sha256":"08bf2c5a86a821ce66b889cbc071befc834bcefbf3914010b47401037268b529","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5119.28","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5119.30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
