Code § 5517.08","heading":"Chip or fog sealing notice.","body":"(A) As used in this section, \"start date\" means one of the following, as applicable:\n(1) The date that the department of transportation will advertise for competitive bids related to the chip sealing or fog sealing of an asphalt surface on a state highway project;\n(2) The date that the department will begin chip sealing or fog sealing an asphalt surface on a state highway project through force account in accordance with division (A)(1)(e) of section 5517.021 of the Revised Code.\n(B) Not less than thirty days prior to the start date of a chip sealing or fog sealing project, the director of transportation shall notify the appropriate board of county commissioners or board of township trustees of the sealing project.","path":["Title 55 Roads-Highways-Bridges","Chapter 5517 Proposed Projects - Maintenance; Repair"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-5517.08","current_through":"2025-06-30 (House Bill 54 - 136th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:40Z","sha256":"8148583d8eb9aaeddd4b409de2d436feb198653df6d622b79ad8e66ebd244584","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5517.07","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5519.01"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
