Code § 5919.16","heading":"Discharge of officer.","body":"(A) Commissioned and warrant officers in the Ohio national guard shall be discharged by the adjutant general upon either of the following:\n(1) The officer's resignation;\n(2) Approval of a board's recommendation for withdrawal of federal recognition by the chief of the national guard bureau.\n(B) An officer also may be discharged under any of the following circumstances:\n(1) Pursuant to other federal regulations;\n(2) If absent without leave for three months, upon recommendation of an efficiency board;\n(3) Pursuant to sentence by court-martial;\n(4) If the officer has been convicted of a crime classified as a felony as described in division (D) or (E) of section 2901.02 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 59 Veterans-Military Affairs","Chapter 5919 Ohio National Guard"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-5919.16","current_through":"1997-09-18 (Senate Bill 130 - 122nd General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:42Z","sha256":"30da27de79199585e4b48e419179ae91a382b6d7c613022384fbd88b753ada2b","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5919.15","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-5919.17"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
