Code § 705.59","heading":"Duties of city manager.","body":"The city manager shall:\n(A) See that the laws and ordinances are faithfully executed;\n(B) Attend all meetings of the council at which his attendance is required by that body;\n(C) Recommend measures for adoption to the council;\n(D) Appoint all officers and employees in the classified service of the municipal corporation, subject to Chapters 124. and 705. of the Revised Code;\n(E) Prepare and submit to the council such reports as are required by that body, or as he deems advisable;\n(F) Keep the council fully advised of the financial condition of the municipal corporation and its future needs;\n(G) Prepare and submit to the council a tentative budget for the next fiscal year;\n(H) Perform such other duties as the council determines by ordinance or resolution;\n(I) Sign all contracts and bonds for and on behalf of the muncipal corporation.","path":["Title 7 Municipal Corporations","Chapter 705 Plans Of Government"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-705.59","current_through":"1977-08-26 (House Bill 1 - 112th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:27Z","sha256":"aba2d5d038e4140db28143563ef070b04dca7554ae4cb05e516b2643716d9f98","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-705.58","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-705.60"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
