Code § 723.48","heading":"Regulation of rate of speed.","body":"The legislative authority of a municipal corporation may, when a railroad track is laid in the municipal corporation, by ordinance, regulate the speed of all locomotives and railroad cars within the municipal corporation limits. Such ordinance shall not require a rate of speed of less than four miles an hour, and in villages having a population of two thousand or less, it shall not require a rate of less than eight miles an hour.
