Code § 757.21","heading":"Compensation to private company for maintaining free museum.","body":"The legislative authority of each city may appropriate from its general funds, or may levy and collect a tax, not to exceed one fourth of one mill on each dollar of the taxable property of the city each year, and pay it to a private corporation or association not for profit maintaining and furnishing a free museum of art, science, or history for the benefit of the inhabitants of the city as compensation for the use and maintenance thereof.
