Stat. tit. 10, § 10-135","heading":"Reports of children not attending school - Notice to","body":"parents or guardians - Investigations and reports - Power of\n\ndistrict court.\n\nIt is hereby declared to be the duty of the superintendent of\n\nthe school district in which the child resides, together with the\n\ntruant and probation officers, to report to the district court the\n\nnames of all children who are neglected or dependent and who are not\n\nattending school as provided by law, and upon the filing of such\n\nreport, the judge of the district court shall cause the probation\n\nofficer to serve notice upon the parents, guardian, or other person\n\nhaving such children in charge.\n\nIt shall be the duty of the probation officer under such notice,\n\nto investigate the condition of such children and to report the same\n\nto the judge of the district court.
