As used in Sections 603.4 and 7102 of this title and the\n\nOklahoma Children’s Code, \"day treatment program\" means\n\nnonresidential, partial hospitalization programs, day treatment\n\nprograms, and day hospital programs in which children and\n\nadolescents are placed for psychiatric or psychological treatment.\n\nDay treatment programs shall serve children and adolescents who are\n\nexperiencing severe psychiatric symptoms, disturbances of conduct,\n\ndecompensating conditions affecting mental health, or severe\n\ndevelopmental delays that seriously impair their capacity to\n\nfunction age-appropriately in their daily lives and that place them\n\nat risk of inpatient hospital, residential or other institutional\n\ncare. Day treatment programs shall provide mental health\n\nambulatory, active treatment programs that shall include\n\ntherapeutic, coordinated and structured clinical services in a\n\nstable, therapeutic milieu, with the goal of preventing the need for\n\nor reducing the length of inpatient or institutional care, and\n\nreintegrating of the child into the school and the community. A day\n\ntreatment program shall not mean an alternative school or\n\nalternative education program as such terms are defined in rules\n\npromulgated by the State Board of Education.\n\nB. All day treatment programs shall adopt:\n\n1. A patient and family bill of rights;\n\n2. Grievance procedures for reporting complaints or grievances\n\nto the State Department of Health, the Department of Mental Health\n\nand Substance Abuse Services or the Office of Client Advocacy, and\n\nthat are appropriate for the complaint or grievance; and\n\n3. Policies governing the use of force, which shall be in\n\ncompliance with the provisions of Section 7004-3.3 of this title.\n\nC.
