Sections 401 through 418 of this title shall be known and\n\nmay be cited as the \"Oklahoma Child Care Facilities Licensing Act\".\n\nB. It is the declared purpose and policy of the Oklahoma Child\n\nCare Facilities Licensing Act, to:\n\n1. Ensure maintenance of minimum standards for the care and\n\nprotection of children away from their own homes;\n\n2. Encourage and assist the child care facility toward maximum\n\nstandards; and\n\n3. Work for the development of sufficient and adequate services\n\nfor child care through joint work of public, private and voluntary\n\nagencies. Whenever possible, child care facilities should help to\n\npreserve and restore family life for children.\n\nC. In order to provide care for children in child care\n\nfacilities, a license shall be obtained from the Department of Human\n\nServices, which is issued on the basis of meeting minimum standards\n\nwhich are essential for the health and welfare of the child or\n\nchildren placed for care with such agencies and individuals.\n\nD.
