Stat. tit. 10, § 10-601.1","heading":"Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth - Creation -","body":"Membership.\n\nA. There is hereby created the Oklahoma Commission on Children\n\nand Youth which shall be composed of eighteen (18) members. The\n\nmembership shall include:\n\n1. The Director of the Department of Human Services, the State\n\nCommissioner of Health, the Commissioner of the Department of Mental\n\nHealth and Substance Abuse Services, the State Superintendent of\n\nPublic Instruction, the Administrator of the Oklahoma Health Care\n\nAuthority, the Director of the State Department of Rehabilitation\n\nServices, and the Chair of the SJR 13 Oversight Committee;\n\n2. The Executive Director of the Office of Juvenile Affairs;\n\n3. Five members who shall be appointed by the Governor from a\n\nlist submitted by the governing board of each of the following\n\norganizations:\n\na. the Oklahoma Children’s Agencies and Residential\n\nEnterprises,\n\nb. one statewide association of youth services,\n\nc. the Oklahoma Bar Association,\n\nd. the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association, and\n\ne. a statewide court-appointed Special Advocate\n\nAssociation;\n\n4. One member appointed by the Governor who shall represent one\n\nof the metropolitan juvenile bureaus;\n\n5. One member representing business or industry, appointed by\n\nthe Governor;\n\n6. One member who is the parent of a child with special needs,\n\nappointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;\n\n7. One member with a demonstrated interest in improving\n\nchildren’s services who is not employed by a state agency or a\n\nprivate organization that receives state funds, appointed by the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate; and\n\n8. One member who shall be appointed by the Governor from a\n\nlist of three names submitted by the Post Adjudication Review Board.\n\nB. The appointed members shall have had active experience in\n\nservices to children and youth and may serve four terms of two (2)\n\nyears each. A person appointed to fill the remainder of a vacant\n\nterm shall, upon completion of that term, be eligible to serve four\n\nadditional two-year terms. Terms shall coincide with the fiscal\n\nyear.\n\nC.
