Stat. tit. 10, § 10-7505-1.1","heading":"Confidential character of hearings and records –","body":"Release - Exceptions - Misdemeanor.\n\nA. Unless otherwise ordered by the district court exercising\n\njurisdiction over the adoption proceeding, all hearings held in\n\nproceedings pursuant to the Oklahoma Adoption Code shall be\n\nconfidential and shall be held in closed court without admittance of\n\nany person other than interested parties and their counsel.\n\nB. All papers, records, and books of proceedings in adoption\n\ncases and any papers, records, and books relating to such\n\nproceedings:\n\n1. Shall be kept as a permanent record of the court and\n\nmaintained in a separate file by the court clerk; and\n\n2. Shall be confidential and shall not be open to inspection or\n\ncopy except as authorized in Sections 7504-1.2, 7505-3.2, 7505-6.6,\n\n7508-1.2 and 7508-1.3 of this title or upon order of a court of\n\nrecord for good cause shown.\n\nC. Upon application and notice to the person or agency in whose\n\npossession the records being sought are held, and for good cause\n\nbeing shown, any court of record may, by written order reciting its\n\nfindings, permit the necessary information to be released, or may\n\nrestrict the purposes for which it shall be used. The findings\n\nshall include the reasons the information being sought cannot be\n\nobtained through the methods authorized by Sections 7504-1.2, 7505-\n\n3.2, 7505-6.6, 7508-1.2 and 7508-1.3 of this title.\n\nD. The provisions of this section shall not prohibit persons\n\nemployed by the court, the Department of Human Services, a child-\n\nplacing agency, an attorney participating or assisting in a direct\n\nplacement adoption or any physician, minister or other person or\n\nentity assisting or participating in an adoption from providing\n\npartial or complete identifying information between a biological\n\nparent and prospective adoptive or adoptive parent if a biological\n\nparent and a prospective adoptive or adoptive parent mutually agree\n\nto share specific identifying information and each gives written,\n\nsigned notice of their agreement to the court, the Department of\n\nHuman Services, the child-placing agency, or any attorney\n\nparticipating or assisting in the direct placement adoption pursuant\n\nto the Oklahoma Adoption Code.\n\nE.
