Stat. tit. 10, § 10-7505-5.4","heading":"Persons or agencies authorized to conduct home","body":"studies.\n\nA. Home studies satisfying Sections 7505-5.1, 7505-5.2 and\n\n7505-5.3 of this title must be conducted and the reports prepared\n\nonly by the following persons or agencies:\n\n1. The agency having custody or legal guardianship of the\n\nchild;\n\n2. The Department of Human Services;\n\n3. A licensed child-placing agency; or\n\n4. A person designated by the court who does not have an\n\ninterest in the outcome of the home study and who meets one of the\n\nfollowing qualifications:\n\na. a master's degree in social work and one (1) year of\n\nexperience in children's services,\n\nb. a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers\n\n(ACSW) and one (1) year of experience in children's\n\nservices,\n\nc. a master's degree in a behavioral or social science\n\nand two (2) years' experience in children's services,\n\nd. a doctorate in a behavioral or social science and one\n\n(1) year of experience in children's services, or\n\ne. is a member of the clergy with two (2) years of\n\nexperience in family counseling and is not the clergy\n\nfor the adoptive parents.\n\nB. Persons satisfying the qualifications listed in paragraph 4\n\nof subsection A of this section shall attend and satisfactorily\n\ncomplete at least once every three (3) years a minimum of a three-\n\nhour course in home study preparation and adoption trends taught by\n\na licensed child-placing agency, by the Department of Human\n\nServices, a statewide organization composed of public and private\n\nadoption professionals, or by a college or university.\n\nDocumentation of having met this educational requirement shall be\n\nprovided by the person to the court or others upon request.\n\nC. The court may order agencies named in subsection A of this\n\nsection located in one or more counties to make separate\n\ninvestigations on separate parts of the inquiry, as may be\n\nappropriate.\n\nD.
