After the final decree of adoption is entered, the relation\n\nof parent and child and all the rights, duties, and other legal\n\nconsequences of the natural relation of child and parent shall\n\nthereafter exist between the adopted child and the adoptive parents\n\nof the child and the kindred of the adoptive parents. From the date\n\nof the final decree of adoption, the child shall be entitled to\n\ninherit real and personal property from and through the adoptive\n\nparents in accordance with the statutes of descent and distribution.\n\nThe adoptive parents shall be entitled to inherit real and personal\n\nproperty from and through the child in accordance with said\n\nstatutes.\n\nB. After a final decree of adoption is entered, the biological\n\nparents of the adopted child, unless they are the adoptive parents\n\nor the spouse of an adoptive parent, shall be relieved of all\n\nparental responsibilities for said child and shall have no rights\n\nover the adopted child or to the property of the child by descent\n\nand distribution.\n\nC. A grandparent, who is the parent of the minor's biological\n\nparents, may be given reasonable rights of visitation to the child,\n\nonly to the extent permitted by the provisions of Section 5 of this\n\ntitle.\n\nD.
