Stat. tit. 10, § 10-7510-1.4","heading":"Eligibility for adoption assistance - Factors for","body":"determination.\n\nA child may be determined by the Department of Human Services to\n\nbe eligible for adoption assistance pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nAdoption Assistance Act if, in accordance with rules promulgated by\n\nthe Commission for Human Services, the Department has determined\n\nthat:\n\n1. The child cannot or should not be returned to the home of\n\nhis or her parents;\n\n2. There exists a specific factor or condition because of which\n\nit is reasonable to conclude that the child cannot be placed for\n\nadoption without providing adoption assistance; and\n\n3. A reasonable, but unsuccessful, effort has been made to\n\nplace the child with appropriate adoptive parents without providing\n\nadoption assistance except when it would be against the best\n\ninterests of the child because of such factors including, but not\n\nlimited to, the existence of significant emotional ties with\n\nprospective adoptive parents while the child was in the care of such\n\nparents as a foster child.","path":["OK Code","Title 10"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5d440c5279e01a5223c87924d99870b77cc4029709068b67e88c409856f447a2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10-10-7510-1.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10-10-7510-1.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
