Stat. tit. 10, § 10-7700-102","heading":"Definitions","body":"For purposes of the Uniform Parentage Act:\n\n1. \"Acknowledged father\" means a man who has established a\n\nfather-child relationship by signing an acknowledgment of paternity\n\nunder Article 3 of the Uniform Parentage Act;\n\n2. \"Adjudicated father\" means a man who has been adjudicated by\n\na court of competent jurisdiction to be the father of a child;\n\n3. \"Alleged father\" means a man who alleges himself to be, or\n\nis alleged to be, the genetic father or a possible genetic father of\n\na child, but whose paternity has not been determined. The term does\n\nnot include a presumed father;\n\n4. \"Child\" means an individual of any age whose parentage may\n\nbe determined under the Uniform Parentage Act;\n\n5. \"Determination of parentage\" means the establishment of the\n\nparent-child relationship by the signing of an acknowledgment of\n\npaternity under this section or adjudication by the court;\n\n6. \"Duress\" means use of physical or psychological force to\n\ncoerce a person to sign an acknowledgment of paternity;\n\n7. \"Effective date\" means when the acknowledgment of paternity\n\nis fully executed, by the later of the signature dates;\n\n8. \"Ethnic or racial group\" means, for purposes of genetic\n\ntesting, a recognized group that an individual identifies as all or\n\npart of the individual's ancestry or that is so identified by other\n\ninformation;\n\n9. \"Fraud\" means an intentional misrepresentation of a material\n\nfact that could not have been discovered with reasonable diligence\n\nand was reasonably relied upon;\n\n10. \"Genetic testing\" means an analysis of genetic markers to\n\nexclude or identify a man as the father or a woman as the mother of\n\na child. The term includes an analysis of one or a combination of\n\nthe following:\n\na. deoxyribonucleic acid, and\n\nb. blood-group antigens, red-cell antigens, human-\n\nleukocyte antigens, serum enzymes, serum proteins, or\n\nred-cell enzymes;\n\n11. \"Man\" means a male individual of any age;\n\n12. \"Material mistake of fact\" means a mistake as to the facts\n\nthat could not have been known at the time a signatory executed an\n\nacknowledgment of paternity;\n\n13. \"Parent\" means an individual who has established a parent-\n\nchild relationship under Section 7700-201 of this title;\n\n14. \"Parent-child relationship\" means the legal relationship\n\nbetween a child and a parent of the child. The term includes the\n\nmother-child relationship and the father-child relationship;\n\n15. \"Paternity index\" means the likelihood of paternity\n\ncalculated by computing the ratio between:\n\na. the likelihood that the tested man is the father,\n\nbased on the genetic markers of the tested man,\n\nmother, and child, conditioned on the hypothesis that\n\nthe tested man is the father of the child, and\n\nb. the likelihood that the tested man is not the father,\n\nbased on the genetic markers of the tested man,\n\nmother, and child, conditioned on the hypothesis that\n\nthe tested man is not the father of the child and that\n\nthe father is of the same ethnic or racial group as\n\nthe tested man;\n\n16. \"Presumed father\" means a man who, by operation of law\n\nunder Section 7700-204 of this title, is recognized as the father of\n\na child until that status is rebutted or confirmed in a judicial\n\nproceeding;\n\n17. \"Probability of paternity\" means the measure, for the\n\nethnic or racial group to which the alleged father belongs, of the\n\nprobability that the man in question is the father of the child,\n\ncompared with a random, unrelated man of the same ethnic or racial\n\ngroup, expressed as a percentage incorporating the paternity index\n\nand a prior probability;\n\n18. \"Record\" means information that is inscribed on a tangible\n\nmedium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is\n\nretrievable in perceivable form;\n\n19. \"Signatory\" means an individual who authenticates a record\n\nand is bound by its terms; and\n\n20. \"State\" means a State of the United States, the District of\nas a percentage incorporating the paternity index\n\nand a prior probability;\n\n18. \"Record\" means information that is inscribed on a tangible\n\nmedium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is\n\nretrievable in perceivable form;\n\n19. \"Signatory\" means an individual who authenticates a record\n\nand is bound by its terms; and\n\n20. \"State\" means a State of the United States, the District of\n\nColumbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, or any\n\nterritory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the\n\nUnited States.","path":["OK Code","Title 10"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bcd58957e3dc940dce4d788aa5d488eca1afe9b6a9b1069c35122864a0b5c9d9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10-10-7700-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10-10-7700-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
