For a child in a voluntary foster care placement pursuant to\n\nan agreement between the parent, legal guardian or custodian of the\n\nchild and the Developmental Disabilities Services Division of the\n\nDepartment of Human Services if the division determines that such\n\nchild has been abandoned pursuant to the provisions of Section 1-4-\n\n904 of this title, such Division may complete a written report of\n\nrecommendations to the Division of Children and Family Services\n\nwithin the Department. Such report shall specify that the child has\n\nbeen abandoned and shall recommend that the Division of Children and\n\nFamily Services request the district attorney to file a petition\n\nalleging the child to be deprived. If the court determines that the\n\nchild has been abandoned, reasonable efforts to provide for the\n\nreturn of the child to the child's own home shall not be required.\n\nThen the court shall conduct a permanency hearing within thirty (30)\n\ndays of such determination pursuant to the provision of Section 1-4-\n\n811 of this title.\n\nB. If the child is subsequently adjudicated deprived, the\n\nDevelopmental Disabilities Services Division and the Division of\n\nChildren and Family Services shall cooperate and collaborate with\n\nregard to the welfare, health and safety of the child in a permanent\n\nplacement pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Children's\n\nCode.","path":["OK Code","Title 10A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5744e2d28eb8ed469b27a4d921df844b99e93588f82fe5dd53148e25e896948b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-1-2-109","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-1-2-111"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
