Stat. tit. 10A, § 10A-1-4-903","heading":"Order to terminate parent-child legal relationship –","body":"Show cause.\n\nIf the court finds from the information presented by the\n\nDepartment of Human Services that the permanency plan for the child\n\nshould be adoption, the court may order the district attorney to\n\nshow cause why it should not file a petition or motion to terminate\n\nthe parent-child legal relationship pursuant to Section 1-4-903 of\n\nthis title. Good cause may include, but need not be limited to, any\n\nof the following conditions:\n\n1. At the option of the Department or by order of the court,\n\nthe child is properly being cared for by a relative;\n\n2. The Department has documented a compelling reason for\n\ndetermining that filing a petition to terminate parental rights\n\nwould not serve the best interests of the child; or\n\n3.
