Stat. tit. 10A, § 10A-1-7-107","heading":"Placement with siblings – Contact and visitation with","body":"siblings.\n\nA. When two or more children in foster care are siblings, every\n\nreasonable attempt should be made to place them in the same home,\n\nexcept as provided in subsection B of this section. In making a\n\npermanent placement, such children should be placed in the same\n\npermanent home or, if the siblings are separated, should be allowed\n\ncontact or visitation with other siblings; provided, however, the\n\nbest interests of each sibling shall be the standard for determining\n\nwhether they should be placed in the same foster placement or\n\npermanent placement, or allowed contact or visitation with other\n\nsiblings.\n\nB. Siblings may be separated if the court and the Department of\n\nHuman Services find that placement of siblings together would be\n\ncontrary to the safety or well-being of any of the siblings, and:\n\n1. One sibling has resided in a foster family home for six (6)\n\nor more months and has established a relationship with the foster\n\nfamily;\n\n2. The siblings have never resided in the same home;\n\n3. There is no established relationship between the siblings;\n\nor\n\n4.
