The Office of Juvenile Affairs shall review and assess each\n\nchild committed to the Office to determine the type of placement\n\nconsistent with the treatment needs of the child in the nearest\n\ngeographic proximity to the home of the child and, in the case of\n\ndelinquent children, the protection of the public. Such review and\n\nassessment shall include an investigation of the personal and family\n\nhistory of the child, and his environment, and any physical or\n\nmental examinations considered necessary.\n\nB.
