Stat. tit. 10A, § 10A-2-7-702","heading":"Definitions","body":"For the purposes of the Delinquency and Youth Gang Intervention\n\nand Prevention Act:\n\n1. “At-risk neighborhoods and communities” means residential\n\nand business areas within a specific political subdivision with a\n\nhistory of assault or battery offenses, shootings or firearm-related\n\noffenses, substance abuse-related offenses, property and theft-\n\nrelated offenses, and known gang activity that are documented by\n\nlocal law enforcement agencies, and an incidence of reported\n\njuvenile crime or referrals for juvenile court intakes, or some\n\ncombination of both such incidence and referrals as approved by the\n\nOffice of Juvenile Affairs and substantiated by local law\n\nenforcement agencies, that is significantly higher than the\n\nstatewide statistical mean for such offenses, incidence, referrals\n\nor combination;\n\n2. “Children at highest risk of involvement with gangs or\n\ndelinquent behaviors” means:\n\na. children and their family members living in at-risk\n\nneighborhoods and communities as defined in this\n\nsection,\n\nb. children living with family members who are gang\n\nmembers or associate with gang members,\n\nc. children living with family members who have been\n\nadjudicated or convicted of a criminal offense,\n\nd. children adjudicated delinquent and their family\n\nmembers, or\n\ne. children who use alcohol or controlled substances or\n\nwho have behavioral problems in school, with peers,\n\nfamily members or authority figures, or some\n\ncombination thereof;\n\n3. “Delinquency and gang intervention and prevention programs\n\nand activities” includes but is not limited to the following for\n\nparticipating youth: Intensive school and school-related programs,\n\nsuch as tutoring and other educational services, vocational training\n\nand counseling, employment services, recreational opportunities, and\n\ncounseling services, such as family counseling, mental health\n\ncounseling, substance abuse outpatient treatment, education\n\nprograms, and programs and services involving the family members of\n\nparticipating youth; and\n\n4. “Family members” means children, siblings, parents and other\n\npersons living in the immediate household.","path":["OK Code","Title 10A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b2a1e893489e99d54467f055379bfb0da35a63158405af685826695a3690455f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-7-701","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-7-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
