From funds appropriated for the Delinquency and Youth Gang\n\nIntervention and Prevention Act or otherwise available for that\n\npurpose, the Office of Juvenile Affairs shall:\n\n1. Issue requests for proposals or enter into agreements\n\npursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act and contract for\n\ndelinquency and gang intervention and prevention programs for\n\nchildren and their family members who live in at-risk neighborhoods\n\nand communities, as defined by Section 2-7-702 of this title;\n\n2. Provide information and technical assistance to individuals\n\nand entities receiving contracts pursuant to the Delinquency and\n\nYouth Gang Intervention and Prevention Act, schools, neighborhood\n\nand community organizations, and agencies within the children and\n\nyouth service system, as that term is defined in the Juvenile\n\nOffender Tracking Program, for the purpose of assisting such\n\nagencies in making application for federal, state and private grants\n\nfor delinquency and gang intervention and prevention programs; and\n\n3. Coordinate efforts among the Office of Juvenile Affairs,\n\nDepartment of Human Services, State Department of Education, State\n\nDepartment of Health, Department of Mental Health and Substance\n\nAbuse Services, Oklahoma Arts Council, Oklahoma Commission on\n\nChildren and Youth, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, 4-H Clubs,\n\nOklahoma Cooperative Extension Service and other organizations\n\nidentified by the Office of Juvenile Affairs that provide services\n\nto children and youth on the creation of an out-of-school resource\n\ncenter subject to the availability of funds.\n\nB. The Office of Juvenile Affairs, with the assistance of and\n\ninformation provided by the Oklahoma Commission on Children and\n\nYouth and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, shall\n\nestablish criteria and procedures for:\n\n1. Identifying at-risk neighborhoods and communities, as\n\ndefined by Section 2-7-702 of this title, for the purposes of\n\ndetermining eligibility for any grants for at-risk areas available\n\npursuant to the Delinquency and Youth Gang Intervention and\n\nPrevention Act; and\n\n2. Determining eligibility of individuals and other\n\norganizations seeking other grants pursuant to the Delinquency and\n\nYouth Gang Intervention and Prevention Act.\n\nThe Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth and the Oklahoma\n\nState Bureau of Investigation shall provide the Office of Juvenile\n\nAffairs with information and assistance, as requested by the Office,\n\nfor the purpose of establishing the criteria required by this\n\nsection.","path":["OK Code","Title 10A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b1bd85e37d3924ca6591f1400088567979b5d4fc08df377f8455bc0fdf9956a6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-7-702","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-7-704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
