For the purpose of information sharing and management of the\n\nJuvenile Offender Tracking Program, there is hereby created the\n\nJuvenile Justice Information System. The information system shall\n\nbe an automated, data-based, system for tracking juvenile offenders\n\nfrom arrest through final closure of the case and shall include\n\ninformation provided by all of the components of the juvenile\n\njustice system in accordance with the provisions of the Juvenile\n\nOffender Tracking Program. The information system shall be fully\n\nintegrated with other information systems related to services to\n\nchildren and youth and shall:\n\n1. Be based upon the integration, utilization and modification,\n\nas necessary, of existing information systems;\n\n2. Provide for the accuracy of the information and for the\n\nsecurity of and limited access to the information;\n\n3. Include case specific information, including client\n\noutcomes, and have the ability to monitor juveniles in the juvenile\n\njustice system; and\n\n4. Be capable of providing management reports and information\n\nto the various components of the juvenile justice system, and of\n\nproviding aggregate information necessary for planning, monitoring,\n\nevaluating and managing programs and services provided to youthful\n\noffenders as well as for system-wide analysis of the Juvenile\n\nOffender Tracking Program.\n\nB. The Office of Juvenile Affairs, the juvenile bureaus, the\n\nOklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Office of the Court\n\nAdministrator, and other agencies and programs comprising the\n\njuvenile justice system, including but not limited to law\n\nenforcement and district attorneys, in accordance with guidelines\n\nestablished by the Juvenile Offender Tracking Program, shall\n\njointly:\n\n1. Identify information to be shared by agencies on a regular\n\nbasis;\n\n2. Develop procedures for processing case-profiles as cases\n\nmove through agencies that come in contact with juvenile offenders;\n\n3. Establish training programs in the use of the system;\n\n4. Conduct a pilot project to test the system; and\n\n5. At least annually, evaluate the plan for full statewide\n\nimplementation of the Juvenile Justice Information System and submit\n\nany necessary modifications of the existing plan to the Juvenile\n\nOffender Tracking Program and to the Governor, the President Pro\n\nTempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives,\n\nand each agency affected by said plan.","path":["OK Code","Title 10A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2833562af2e66a8114d5ddfef1d10a7d2f136da0ac6fd0a691ea3d91b4403b8c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-7-904","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-8-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
