When a person meets the definition of a juvenile sex\n\noffender pursuant to Section 2-8-102 of this title, the district\n\nattorney may make an application to include the juvenile in the\n\njuvenile sex offender registry. Upon the application of the\n\ndistrict attorney, the court shall appoint two persons who are\n\nqualified sex offender treatment professionals to evaluate the\n\njuvenile and report to the court on the treatment prognosis and\n\nlikelihood that the juvenile offender represents an ongoing serious\n\nor aggressive threat to the public or children under sixteen (16)\n\nyears of age. One appointee shall be currently licensed as a\n\nphysician or psychologist in Oklahoma with a minimum of two hundred\n\n(200) hours of clinical experience in juvenile sex offender\n\ntreatment. Other criteria for qualifying as a sex offender\n\ntreatment professional shall include, but not be limited to, current\n\nlicensure as a medical or mental health professional with a minimum\n\nof two hundred (200) hours of clinical experience in juvenile sex\n\noffender treatment, or current licensure as a medical or mental\n\nhealth professional with a minimum of two (2) years’ combined\n\nclinical experience in child abuse treatment, child or adolescent\n\nanger management treatment, juvenile delinquency or criminal\n\nbehavior treatment, sexual abuse treatment, child or adolescent\n\npsychology, or therapeutic social work. A list of sex offender\n\ntreatment professionals meeting the established criteria shall be\n\nprovided to each district court by the Office of Juvenile Affairs.\n\nWhere professionals are appointed to conduct an evaluation in such\n\ncases, the court may set reasonable compensation and order the\n\npayment out of the court fund. In the event two qualified sex\n\noffender treatment professionals are not available to the court to\n\nevaluate the juvenile sex offender, the Office of Juvenile Affairs\n\nmay, at the court’s request, select additional qualified sex\n\noffender treatment professionals employed by the agency to assist\n\nwith the evaluation report.\n\nB. The court shall, after consideration of the evaluation\n\nreport required by subsection A of this section, make a finding of\n\nwhether the juvenile offender represents an ongoing serious or\n\naggressive threat to the public or children under sixteen (16) years\n\nof age. If the court finds the juvenile represents such threat, the\n\ncourt shall order the juvenile to register on the juvenile sex\n\noffender registry as provided in this act.\n\nC. The court, in its discretion, may order information on any\n\njuvenile sex offender released from the juvenile sex offender\n\nregistry to any person or to the public at large when the evaluation\n\nreport considered by the court indicates a likelihood of an ongoing\n\nserious or aggressive threat to the public or children under sixteen\n\n(16) years of age. If the court orders release of this information\n\nto the public at large, it shall promptly be made available for\n\npublic inspection or copying pursuant to rules promulgated by the\n\nOffice of Juvenile Affairs. If the court orders the release of this\n\ninformation through community notification, the notification shall\n\nbe carried out by the local law enforcement authority applicable to\n\nthe person’s residence.\n\nD.
