Stat. tit. 10A, § 10A-2-9-114","heading":"Binding effect - Other laws","body":"ARTICLE XIII\n\nBINDING EFFECT OF COMPACT AND OTHER LAWS\n\nA. Other laws.\n\n1. Nothing herein prevents the enforcement of any other law of\n\na compacting state that is not inconsistent with this compact.\n\n2. All compacting states’ laws other than state constitutions\n\nand other interstate compacts conflicting with this compact are\n\nsuperseded to the extent of the conflict.\n\nB. Binding effect of compact.\n\n1. All lawful actions of the Interstate Commission, including\n\nall rules and bylaws promulgated by the Interstate Commission, are\n\nbinding upon the compacting states.\n\n2. All agreements between the Interstate Commission and the\n\ncompacting states are binding in accordance with their terms.\n\n3. Upon the request of a party to a conflict over meaning or\n\ninterpretation of Interstate Commission actions, and upon a majority\n\nvote of the compacting states, the Interstate Commission may issue\n\nadvisory opinions regarding such meaning or interpretation.\n\n4. In the event any provision of this compact exceeds the\n\nconstitutional limits imposed on the legislature of any compacting\n\nstate, the obligations, duties, powers or jurisdiction sought to be\n\nconferred by such provision upon the Interstate Commission shall be\n\nineffective and such obligations, duties, powers or jurisdiction\n\nshall remain in the compacting state and shall be exercised by the\n\nagency thereof to which such obligations, duties, powers or\n\njurisdiction are delegated by law in effect at the time this compact\n\nbecomes effective.","path":["OK Code","Title 10A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os10A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"469acd282434038f3b7570a7941c1c8b9fd9e053d5fbbcb409adaab85f9fee90","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-9-113","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-10a-10a-2-9-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
