Stat. tit. 11, § 11-11-107","heading":"Mayor - Additional offices or duties","body":"The mayor may appoint himself, or the council or other authority\n\nmay elect or appoint him, to other offices and positions in the city\n\ngovernment, subject to regulations as the council may prescribe; but\n\nhe may not receive compensation for service in such other offices\n\nand positions.
