Stat. tit. 11, § 11-11-124","heading":"City officials and employees - Suspension or removal -","body":"Successors.\n\nAn officer or employee may be suspended, demoted, laid off or\n\nremoved in the manner provided by law by the mayor or other\n\nauthority which has the power to appoint or elect the officer or\n\nemployee.
