Stat. tit. 11, § 11-12-105","heading":"Duties of the mayor - Acting mayor","body":"The mayor shall preside at meetings of the board and shall\n\ncertify to the correct enrollment of all ordinances and resolutions\n\npassed by it. He shall be recognized as head of the town government\n\nfor all ceremonial purposes and shall have such other powers, duties\n\nand functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance. The mayor\n\nshall have all the powers, rights, privileges, duties and\n\nresponsibilities of a trustee, including the right to vote on\n\nquestions.
