Stat. tit. 11, § 11-12-110","heading":"Town treasurer - Creation and duties - Compensation","body":"The town treasurer shall be an officer of the town. The town\n\ntreasurer shall:\n\n1. maintain accounts and books to show where and from what\n\nsource all monies paid to him have been derived and to whom and when\n\nany monies have been paid; and\n\n2. deposit daily funds received for the town in depositories as\n\nthe board of trustees may designate; and\n\n3. have such other powers, duties, and functions related to his\n\nstatutory duties as may be prescribed by law or by ordinance. The\n\nperson who serves as town treasurer may be employed by the town to\n\nperform duties not related to his position as town treasurer.
