Stat. tit. 11, § 11-12-112","heading":"Departments and agencies - Merger or consolidation of","body":"town offices.\n\nIn the town board of trustees form of government, there shall be\n\nsuch administrative departments, officers, and agencies as the board\n\nmay establish. The board may combine, merge, or consolidate by\n\nordinance any of the various offices of town government as it deems\n\nnecessary and convenient for the administration of the affairs or\n\ngovernment of the town. Any consolidation of elected town offices\n\nshall go into effect at the end of the term of office of those\n\nofficers whose offices are consolidated or when a vacancy occurs in\n\none of the offices to be consolidated.
