Stat. tit. 11, § 11-13-113","heading":"Charter revocation - Canvassing returns - Proclamation","body":"of Governor - Election of officers.\n\nThe secretary of the county election board shall, within five\n\n(5) days after the canvass of the returns of the election, certify\n\nto the Governor the results of the vote on the question. If a\n\nmajority of the votes cast are in favor of revoking the charter, the\n\nGovernor, within twenty (20) days after receiving the certification,\n\nshall issue a proclamation stating that the municipality has revoked\n\nits charter and adopted the statutory form of municipal government\n\nspecified in the question. The proclamation of the Governor shall\n\nalso direct the governing body of the municipality to divide the\n\nmunicipality into the number of wards required and to hold primary\n\nand general elections in the manner provided by the statutory form\n\nof government which has been adopted.
