Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-101","heading":"Notice of municipal elections","body":"The governing body of a municipality shall give notice of a\n\ngeneral municipal election or a special election by publishing the\n\nresolution calling for the election. The resolution shall: contain\n\nthe facts described in Section 13-102 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.\n\nThe resolution shall be published in a newspaper of general\n\ncirculation in the municipality at least ten (10) days before the\n\nbeginning of the filing period for a general municipal election, or\n\nat least ten (10) days before the date of a special election.
