Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-103.1","heading":"Withholding certain monies from city or town that","body":"fails to hold municipal election or biennial town meeting.\n\nNo monies shall be distributed pursuant to Section 1104 of Title\n\n47 and Section 504 of Title 68 of the Oklahoma Statutes to any\n\nincorporated city or town which has failed to hold a general or\n\nspecial municipal election to elect officers as provided in Section\n\n16-101 et seq. of this title or a biennial town meeting as provided\n\nby the Oklahoma Town Meeting Act, on the dates required by law for\n\nfour (4) or more years, if a general or special municipal election,\n\nor for two consecutive biennial town meetings. Such monies shall be\n\nremitted to the county in which the incorporated city or town is\n\nlocated and deposited to the county highway fund of that county to\n\nbe used as otherwise provided by law. An incorporated city or town\n\nshall henceforth send the county treasurer of the county in which it\n\nis located a copy of the municipality's notice of a biennial town\n\nmeeting or resolution calling for its regular municipal elections,\n\nwhichever is appropriate.
