Stat. tit. 11, § 11-16-105.1","heading":"Elections to be nonpartisan - Primary elections in","body":"nonpartisan elections abolished.\n\nMunicipal elections shall be nonpartisan and all candidates\n\nshall file as independent candidates unless, prior to the date for\n\nnotifying the county election board of the call for the election,\n\nthe municipality has in effect an ordinance providing for a partisan\n\nprimary election consistent with Section 16-101 et seq. of Title 11\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes. No primary elections shall be held in a\n\nnonpartisan election. Any election proclamation or notice of\n\nelection providing for a primary election shall be deemed to be\n\namended by operation of this act to delete the call for a primary\n\nelection unless a copy of the ordinance authorizing the primary\n\nelection is attached to the election resolution filed with the\n\ncounty election board. If such a copy is not attached, each\n\ncandidate shall appear on the ballot as an independent candidate\n\nwithout party or other designation.
