When the office of a municipal elected official is to be\n\nfilled at a special partisan election, the resolution or order of\n\nthe governing body calling the election shall contain the following\n\nfacts:\n\n1. A filing period of three (3) days which shall begin not more\n\nthan twenty (20) days from the date the resolution or order is\n\nrequired to be filed with the county election board;\n\n2. The date of the special primary election, not less than\n\nforty-five (45) days after the close of the filing period; and\n\n3. The date of the special general election, not less than\n\nforty-five (45) days after the date of the primary election. A copy\n\nof the resolution or order shall be filed with the secretary of the\n\ncounty election board not less than sixty (60) days preceding the\n\ndate of the special primary election. The election shall be\n\nconducted under the laws applicable to general municipal elections.\n\nB. When the office of a municipal elected official is to be\n\nfilled at a special nonpartisan election, the resolution or order of\n\nthe governing body calling the election shall contain the following\n\nfacts:\n\n1. A filing period of three (3) days which shall begin not more\n\nthan twenty (20) days from the date the resolution or order is\n\nrequired to be filed with the county election board;\n\n2. The date of the special general election, not less than\n\nforty-five (45) days after the close of the filing period. A copy\n\nof the resolution or order shall be filed with the secretary of the\n\ncounty election board not less than sixty (60) days preceding the\n\ndate of the special general election.\n\nC.
